Frequently Asked Questions

What is EI Signal Stories?
EI Signal Stories is a creative platform with two doors. I Learn (Student) — read our published Library and EI World seasons, including CBSE chapters narrated as story episodes and frontier AI research retold as stories. I Create (Creator) — submit your own source material and we generate a creative retelling tailored to your audience.
How does the AI story generation work?
Drop in source material — a paragraph, PDF, URL, ArXiv ID, or DOI — choose the audience and length, and our AI produces a creative retelling powered by the proprietary EI4Ai Signal Framework. We do not reproduce the original text; we reframe the ideas through a creative lens so they become imaginable and memorable.
Do you own the source material I upload, or the stories generated from it?
No. The source material you submit remains yours — we do not claim ownership or authorship of it. Where a story is based on a third-party work (a paper, book, or article), the original author and rights holder retain full ownership of that original work; we make no claim to it. The generated story is a creative retelling produced by AI to aid imagination and understanding — it is not a copy of, substitute for, or replacement of the original source.
How should I share a story I generated?
You are welcome to share your stories. When the story is based on someone else’s work, please credit the original source and author, and make clear the story is an AI-generated creative retelling rather than the author’s own words. Generated stories should not be cited as primary sources in academic, legal, or scientific contexts. See our Terms (Section 7) for full attribution guidance.
What input formats are supported?
You can paste text directly, upload PDFs, paste a URL, fetch papers from ArXiv using paper IDs, or resolve DOIs automatically. Specific input methods available on each plan are described on the Pricing page.
What are Visual Stories?
Visual Stories bring a generated story to life beyond text — AI-illustrated scene pictures, a key-insight card, and (on higher tiers) narrated or animated outputs. Which visual features are included with each plan is described on the Pricing page.
What are the story length options?
Short (500-800 words): Quick reads. Medium (1000-1500 words): Balanced depth for general audiences. Long (2000-3000 words): Comprehensive narratives for detailed understanding.
Who is this for?
Two main audiences. I Learn (Student) — school students (CBSE chapters as stories), college and research-minded readers (AI research retold), and anyone who likes reading. I Create (Creator) — teachers, parents, executives, founders, communicators, researchers, and anyone who wants to turn their own material into shareable stories.
Is my content secure?
Yes. All traffic is HTTPS and we use OAuth 2.0 authentication. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Where higher-privacy storage (e.g. encrypted-content plans) is available, the details are on the Pricing page.
Where can I see plans and prices?
All current plans, prices, billing cycles, and feature inclusions live on the Pricing page — that is the single source of truth. We avoid duplicating plan numbers in the FAQ so they never go stale.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your billing period. Within 7 days of subscribing, if you have not used the paid plan, you can request a full refund from your Account page instead of cancelling.
